Thursdays at Ten: Tiny Techniques Workshop
Join me for four weeks of creativity and inspiration and a general break outside of your normal day.
This is a LIVE ZOOM workshop
This Tiny Techniques Workshop is inspired by the "principles of postmodern art" *
For four Thursdays at 10am pt for the month of June,
I am offering a (loose) hour of creating together to keep our spirits lifted and our hands moving.
With a sunny, bright nod to this season of spring cleaning and a postmodern artists belief of re-use, we'll start our engagement from an 'economy' stance: which is to say, no kit needed this time around. We are going to use and appreciate what we've already got in our craft drawer, art studio, or box of goodies you've been saving for this very moment!
Each week, with a different principle of postmodern art guiding our tiny techniques, we'll work variously with paper and fabric, tape and paint, magazines and ephemera: We'll use water and glue, needle and thread, scissors and sewing machines. Small, do-able projects that you can continue on with or find just the right amount of happiness in the moment.
I will email you a reminder with a zoom link each week.
Four Thursdays in June,
10 am pacific time/ 12pm central time/ 1pm eastern time
June 2nd 10am-11am
June 9th 10am-11am
June 16th 10am-11am
June 23rd 10am-11am
Here is a short list of materials to gather for our meetings:
packing tape, scissors, glue stick, #2 lead pencil, paints (acrylic and watercolor), paintbrushes, white and or black roller pen, x-acto blade, self healing mat, liquid adhesive, fabric, paper scraps, old magazines, colored and or patterned paper
*While the actual category of 'what kind' of art one creates will be vast, these principles are a wonderful jumping off point!
I look forward to seeing you then!
