SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 19th, 11am-2pm
students must be 18 or older
This workshop takes place at my studio "All The Materials", located on the 2nd floor within the Mural Building at 230 US-1 BYP, Kittery, ME 03904
Students will explore and practice numerous concepts of collage - layering, paper tearing, using different adhering tools, color-ways and composition. With incredible materials, both current and vintage ephemera, a variety of techniques will be introduced such as applique, stamping, and pop-up extensions. Attendees are encouraged to bring anything they'd like to use, including personal objects, photos and materials. We’ll also discuss the important joy of using “originals” and how to alternatively work with these pieces. Participants will leave with the beginnings of a “sketch-book” of their collages.
All collage materials provided: If you have them, you may want to bring an xacto blade and/or tiny scissors and your glasses- collage can be tiny work!
