I am in love with a great quote. There are so many that speak to all different situations. Depending on whether you purchase one of my stitched quotes for yourself or for someone else, it's sure to land just where you want it, like a good quote does.
I have been collecting quotes since I was a kid, always cutting them out or jotting them down when I saw or heard them...I now rely on that vast collection of quotes when it's time to sit down at my typewriter and put them out into the world.
These quotes are layered on top of ephemera that, in some cases, date back to the early 1800's. I layer book pages and letters and notebook scribbles and ledger charts that all combine to enhance the quote that tops them. Stitching is done with a strong red thread and the piece is mounted on a recycled vintage book cover and hung with chain, ready to hang on a wall.
