HEllO 2023!
I'm hoping this will be the year we get back to a lot more in-person engagements!
And I'm looking at LA, SF and NYC to set up some of those in-person workshops.
If you have locations you'd like me to check out, please be in touch!
Let's see if we can make some in-person magic!

For now, virtually join me and other wonderers for the latest:

 Hello, WORKSHOP:
Concertina Book Construction & Collage

Saturday, February 11th
1pm-4pm eastern time

Let's get this off to a great start!
We'll get our fingers flowing and our minds moving...
let's play with paper & paints, stamps & ink, images & ideas,
scissors & shapes.
Too often we loose our creative mojo and need a jumpstart : This super fun, accordion book-collage class is your new years remedy!

A kit full of vintage goodies, juicy ephemera and enough fabulous materials to create & collage your very own concertina book.
Or make it for a family member, or a friend who might need a bright spot in this year of the rabbit.
It's true, Valentine's Day is around the corner, but you can make the love palpable year-round!
sign up and save your spot here

read some really sweet things my workshop students have shared:

the skills that I have learned under Molly's teaching are ones that I am able to apply and incorporate into any of my creative endeavors and her enthusiasm, encouragement and willingness to share "trade secrets" are inspirational. After class my head is brimming with ideas for future projects. - Beth

Thank you for the fun, wonderful,
magical classes!
You are my favorite art teacher ever!
The classes were pure joy! -Connie
Molly gives great detailed instructions and fascinating suggestions for what you can do.
I got the sense that she is incredibly excited about doing this and it makes me want to do it to.
It sparked a lot of ideas for me.    -Lee
Molly is an excellent teacher and she is extremely encouraging for those of us that are new artists. - Cindy
...A fun course with lots of incorporated techniques and examples.
Molly is a terrific teacher! -Deb
I also appreciated her impreciseness -
it made the process fun!    -Pamela
...the workshop was so inspiring. Molly does an amazing job of creating weekly projects. Her approach is so encouraging and I learned so many techniques. I thoroughly enjoyed the course and looked forward to each week to see what she in store for us. One more thing is that it is pretty cool to see that people from all over can participate together.  - Karen

A bit of my work and my writing get a lovely big spread in ISSUE 52 of
  UPPERCASE MAGAZINE
Always a huuuuge honor to be included in THE magazine for inspiration,
beautiful artwork, thoughtful insights, and a great place to find your next favorite artist.
Janine asked me to write a piece on the concept of procrastination as process
after she saw this little procrastination piece of mine (below right)
It was actually hugely healing to do some research on something I always considered a poor trait; something I referred to as "wasting time". I no longer truly see it that way.
It hasn't exactly been turned into a superpower yet, but I write about how one might reframe the mindset.

I was invited to take part in this incredibly fun talk with Margret Petrie about
art, process, getting stuck!
getting unstuck!
those pesky monkey-mind thoughts,
and lots of other topics!
You can listen to the laughs and hopefully be inspired to get into your own scraps!

The Traveling Postal Club

The Traveling Postal Club  is a free -to-all, community, mail-art project/gathering that fellow artist, Anne Baumgartner & I started in 2017.  Past public projects include: "Dear Los Angeles" and "Remember This Name"

The ongoing project "Tell Me One Thing" was born out of a wish for wisdom.  If we can't physically be together, we can still let each other know one thing:  an 'i love you' or an 'i baked bread!' or 'did you know dogs can talk?' something that connects you and one other person.  The community comes in when you share that 'one thing, one letter, one person' with the rest of us.  The joy, the wisdom, the one thing spreads out to all of us missing our families and friends...  we can all do our part to lift each other up with one little thing!

If you love mail-art or letter writing and want to make a difference not only in somebody's mailbox, but in someone's day,
join us in writing to people anywhere, anytime.

HOW TO JOIN IN

But for the actual mail you send,
this public project will be entirely virtual for now.
Once you've created your mail-art, written your letter or postcard and have it ready to send, take a photo of the front and the back side
(cover-up the address) and tag us on Instagram @thetravelingpostalclub and/or use the hashtag #tellmeonethingTPC
or send it to us in a direct message (DM)
and we'll share your creativity
on The Traveling Postal Club Instagram feed for all to enjoy!
